SEED4YC’s primary objective is to provide vulnerable young children the additional services and support they need to start school equal to their peers, so that they are on track to achieve at the same rate.
Working in partnership with local kindergartens, a thorough screening program undertaken at enrolment identifies the children that are in need additional support. SEED4YC is working to provide the additional support and resources required, when it falls outside of government funding, to reduce the chance of vulnerable children being left behind.
Our support may include:
- Programs that provide 1-1 support.
- On-site sessions with professional services, if families have poor access to off site services due to lack of transport and other difficulties.
- Excursions, incursions and special experiences that otherwise vulnerable children would not have the funds to attend.
- Healthy breakfast, lunch and snack programs to ensure all children have access to adequate supplies of fresh food daily.
- Practical materials; books, learning aids and resources, bags, hats, clothing and shoes as required.
